Domain Transfer Policy
Most of the time, BIRKEY.COM manages our customer domains
through our company Dotster account. Occassionaly our customers
either want to control their own domains, or want to use
a different Registrar.
Because of the importance of domain ownership, in these cases,
the customer must follow these protective procedures:
- Customer must create their own separate Dotster account. This
is free and can easily be done online at http://www.dotster.com
Click on the link "Create
an acount"
- Notify BIRKEY.COM in writing on their company letterhead that
they wish to transfer their domain, stating the reasons,
and providing the correct name of their new Dotster account.
This record document can be faxed or mailed to BIRKEY.COM (fax:
630-279-4050)
- If BIRKEY.COM finds the request to be in order, authoritative,
and if all outstanding fees, invoices, and work has been paid
in full, and any other related disputes resolved, BIRKEY.COM
will transfer the domain from our company Dotster account into
the new customer Dotster account.
- At that point, the customer will be responsible for all domain
renewal or transfer fees, maintaining correct DNS records, updating
contact information, and any other tasks related to managing
the domain. BIRKEY.COM will assume no more responsibility at
the point of the transfer into the customer Dotster account.
- Once transferred, the customer can choose to transfer the domain
to a different Registrar if they so choose. Thay will have complete
control of the domain to do so.
